Holiday Emoji Social Campaign

For Washington’s Lottery this holiday season, we created a campaign to spread the magical feeling of this special time of year. We created a set of happy, cheerful, zany holiday emojis for our audience to send and share with their communities through social. We partnered with Giphy to create static and animated stickers that convey the joy of giving and receiving. These emojis were also available for download to their personal phone keyboards, so they could spread holiday delight to their friends and families.

RESULTS

Our Holiday Emoji Social Campaign blew the roof off of Total Views and Social Engagement Rates. We logged over 3.5 million views through Giphy on just 44 assets uploaded. And our top-performing Yule Log emoji reached a fiery 8.56% engagement rate—melting the industry average of 1–5%.
